Have you ever wanted to read Les Miserables?
Do you want to bond with your fellow bloggers through a fun readalong?
Do you like big books and you cannot lie?
Are you looking for a readalong/challenge that's incredibly low key?
Do you want to grab 2012 by the face and make it the best reading year ever?
If the answer to any of these questions is "YES!" you may consider joining me in a 2012 litventure. I'm hosting a readalong/challenge to read Les Miserables by Victor Hugo throughout the year 2012.
I got this idea after spending 2011 reading War and Peace in a readalong sponsored by Jillian at "A Room of One's Own". I plan on running the Les Mis readalong similarly - namely it will be very low key.
Here's the plan:
*I divided the book into sections of 18-26 pages (depending on logical chapter breaks). The goal is to read these 18-26 pages every week.
*The book is divided into 5 volumes. I plan on doing a post after each volume. I'll put a linky at the end of these posts so you can join in if you want. No posting required! If you want to just post at the end, or not post at all, that's fine!
*Your reading pace is entirely up to you. If you want to finish early, or start late that's no problem.
*Here's a button you're welcome to use in a "challenge" tab, or on your sidebar. Your choice!
What do you think? Are you in? Great! Fill out the form below so I can email you a detailed list of the chapters per week. (It was way too long to put in a post!)
Good luck!!!
